Melody to Tab
Play a melody and get it as harmonica tab for your harp: the hole numbers, blow (↑) or draw (↓), and any bends. Use a YouTube video, any recording, your own playing or whistling, or an audio file.
For your own practice. The tab stays on your device.
1. The song (optional)
Paste a YouTube link to play the video here, or play the song from anywhere else.
2. Listen
Press Listen, then play the video, a recording, or the melody yourself (sing, whistle, play). Press Stop at the end.
The sound is analysed in your browser. No audio leaves your device.
What to expect
- It works best on a single melody: one voice, a whistle, a harmonica or another solo instrument. A full band recording gives rough results, because the tool hears one note at a time.
- Play or sing the notes clearly, with a little gap between repeated notes; a quiet room helps.
- On a phone, the video's sound can get quieter while the microphone is on. Playing the song from another device or speaker works best.
- Check the tab by ear with Play back, and fix any note that came out wrong.
- Nothing is recorded, uploaded or stored: the sound is analysed in your browser, and the tab is gone when you leave the page. Copy it if you want to keep it.
